Our crew installed spray foam throughout the building. All main level walls, gable end walls and constructed basement walls received 4 inches of open-cell foam, and the remaining concrete basement walls received 2 inches of closed-cell foam for a complete air and vapor barrier. The rim joists received 4 inches of open-cell foam, and every joint, including framing, seal plates, multi-plated studs, headers, windows and doors, was surrounded with insulation. Finally, the roof deck received 6 inches of open-cell foam, sealing off the vents and forming an airtight thermal cap rated at about 94% efficiency.
