Completion date:
2022-05-10
Location:
Chapmanville,
WV
Why did the customer contact us?
This customer reached out to Reed’s Home Solutions after previously seeing the benefits of spray foam insulation in other homes they had been in.
What challenges did we face?
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.
Solutions provided:
Our crews performed a crawlspace encapsulation in the crawlspace of the home. Firstly, the earth of the crawlspace was sealed with a liner, helping prevent vast amounts of moisture from the ground to enter the area.
Secondly, the foundation walls were insulated with 2 inches of closed-cell foam insulation. This will be a continuous seal onto the liner, also sealing around the foundation walls.
The rim joist was insulated with 4 inches of open-cell insulation, preventing air leaks in the rim joist area.
Lastly, a crawlspace encapsulation access door was installed and sealed to complete the encapsulation.
