Solutions provided:
Our team insulated the roof deck with 6″ of open cell foam insulation, coating it with our class-3 vapor barrier. Not only did this create a 94% air tight seal, but preventing moisture from entering the house from outside.
Then throughout the 2×6 stud cavities of the area, the team applied 4″ of open cell foam. All windows, doors, headers and joints in the framing were sealed, this provided a complete air seal and gave the area an R-Value of 15+.
