The roof deck received 6″ of open cell foam insulation, sealing off ridge, gable and soffit vents and creating an airtight 94% efficient Thermal cap on the attic. The gable end walls were also insulated with 4″ of the same foam, creating a complete air seal on the attic. This will prevent any heating/cooling to escape the house, as well as preventing moisture from outside the house to enter through the vents of the attic.
