Solutions provided:
Our crew insulated the ceiling of the building with 6 nominal inches of open cell foam, providing some sound resistance from the upstairs apartment.
Then, a thermal barrier was applied to the foam along the ceiling to help keep the temperature of the building consistent in all seasons.
Finally, on the insulation and thermal barrier the crew painted the foam with black paint, seeing as the customer had no intentions on covering the foam in the future.
